Nigel Dalton Architectural Design are a young and fresh architectural design team focused on delivering classic and contemporary design solutions within the South West.

Our team are adept in surveying, design, draughting and site management and have a great working relationship with consultants in specialist areas such as Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Topographical Surveys, Land Contamination Surveys , Bat Surveys, etc.

We have also established an excellent independent Contractor base.

Whether your project is a small extension, loft conversion or a new build, domestic or commercial, we carry out all works to the same high standard and with the same commitment to our Clients.

Nigel Dalton (Director) - MCIAT

Nigel Dalton (Director) established his practice in 2001. In 2011 he became a member of CIAT, (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists), to further strengthen the foundation of company. Parallel to this a number of professional associates work closely with the company to ensure a positive delivery of works.

Lee Johnson

Lee Johnson

Lee Johnson - MCIAT & ICIOB

Lee obtained full membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT) in 2010 and is also an Incorporated Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB)

He has worked for Architectural practices ever since first starting work in 1986 when living in Surrey and later in Sussex.
He also worked for 2 years in an Architectural Conservation Department working on a myriad of historic buildings and refurbishment projects.

Before settling in Devon in 2010, Lee was an Associate Director (senior technical director level) for a medium to large sized Architectural firm in Sussex.
Experience in Devon now includes working as a Project Manager for Dartington Hall Trust (Totnes) and as a Contracts Manager for a medium sized Contracting firm.

Lee has now over 30 years’ experience of the building industry.

Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly - RICS & RTPI

Dr Michael Kelly is a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor and a Chartered Town Planner. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Exeter with a particular interest in planning policy, site appraisals and the determination of planning applications, appeals and enforcement.

Mike also acts as professional adviser to elected councillors and provides training to parish and town councils, expert panels and students. Recent employment was as Chief Planning Officer with a high performing local authority and he also serves as advisor on national research initiatives centred on ecosystem services and the sustainable development agenda.

Selena Pryce


Selena Pryce (Technician)

Selena started working as Architectural Drawing Technician when she left school in 1986. She acheived the Ordinary National Certificate in Building Studies Plymouth Collage and won an Architectural Trust Award for the best Design in Technology. She has always worked for local architect practices and has 21 yrs experience and knowledge of the building industry.
